When we first started TuConnect in April 2025, we weren't trying to build a company. We were trying to solve a problem we saw everywhere around us: bright, capable young Africans sending out hundreds of job applications and hearing nothing back.

It started as Socially, a simple Chrome extension that helped job seekers improve their LinkedIn presence. Users loved it. They told us they finally felt seen, confident, noticed. But they needed more. They needed a way to build compelling CVs. A place to practice interviews. A platform that understood how hiring works in Nairobi, Lagos, and Accra - not Silicon Valley.

So we listened, we researched & we built something bigger.

Today, we're writing to you as 10,000 strong. Ten thousand job seekers who refused to give up. Ten thousand stories of persistence, growth, and transformation.

Built By Africans, For Africans

TuConnect didn't emerge from a boardroom. It was born from late-night conversations in Nairobi coffee shops, from WhatsApp groups where graduates shared their frustrations, from the lived experiences of our founders and early users who knew this problem intimately.

Every feature we built came from you:

•  You told us you needed CV templates that African recruiters actually want to see - so we co-created them with hiring managers .

•  You asked for affordable access - so we created a pay-as-you-go model because we know not everyone can afford monthly subscriptions.

•  You needed to track dozens of applications - so we built a job tracker that keeps everything organized.

This isn't a Silicon Valley import. It's a ground-up response to real struggles across African cities. And you shaped every part of it.

•  August 2025: Mobile optimization - because that's how Africa works

•  October 2025: 5,000 community members strong, nearly half of them women

•  January 2026: Major platform upgrade with new AI features based on your feedback

•  March 2026: 10,000 dreamers, doers, and future leaders on TuConnect

Along the way, we became a Google for Startups beneficiary and were featured in leading African tech media. But those aren't our real wins. Our real wins are the interviews secured, the jobs landed, the confidence built.
