You're Not Underqualified. You're Just Unseen.

I’ve always believed that Africa is full of brilliant people whose potential often goes unseen. However, everywhere I looked, I noticed the same pattern: young graduates struggling to find meaningful opportunities and employers insisting they couldn’t find the right talent. It became clear that the issue wasn’t a shortage of ability , it was a lack of alignment. This insight is what inspired me to co-found TuConnect. We’re building an AI-powered career ecosystem that supports both sides of the hiring journey. For job seekers, we provide tools that help them present their skills with confidence, intelligent resumes, interview preparation, and personalized career insights. For employers and institutions, we offer modern hiring infrastructure, assessments, and a lightweight ATS designed specifically for African talent markets. My career across construction, fintech, and entrepreneurship has shown me how powerful the right talent can be in shaping a business. At the heart of my work is a simple belief: When people thrive, organizations thrive too. And when both sides grow, our continent moves forward.

You've sent over 100 applications. You've rewritten your CV three times, hit "submit," and waited, and waited. The silence that follows isn't just quiet. It's loud. It whispers that maybe you're not good enough, not smart enough, not ready for the room.

Here's the truth. You are.

Across Africa, millions of talented graduates are stuck in the same gap between effort and outcome. Not because the skill isn't there because the system wasn't built for them to be seen. Generic global career tools don't understand the rhythm of our job markets. Expensive coaching stays locked behind fees most early-career professionals can't justify. And the "just network more" advice wears thin when you don't know what to say, how to say it, or who's even listening.

That's what we've been building TuConnect to fix — An AI-powered career ecosystem platform built by Africans, for Africans, however tools alone don't transform careers. Strategy does. Clarity does. The voice you use when you introduce yourself does.

That's why we're proud to announce our partnership with Stephanie Wambua.

The Guide You've Been Looking For

Stephanie has spent years helping professionals across the continent stop being invisible. She's trusted by a community of 27,000+ professionals on LinkedIn. She's coached hundreds of early-career talents to position themselves with clarity, confidence, and conviction. If personal branding in Africa had a name, it would be hers.

Between her strategic voice and our AI-powered toolkit, this partnership gives you something most career programs never manage to offer in one place the thinking and the tools to act on it.

Introducing "The Workplace Has Changed. Have You?"

Our six-session webinar series launches on 12 May 2026, and it's designed specifically for professionals aged 18 to 24 - whether you're stepping into your first role, navigating your first year of work, or trying to pivot early in your career. The whole series is built on one belief: you don't need another motivational talk. You need a plan you can use the moment you log off.

Here's what the six sessions cover over three months:

  1. Building Your Personal Brand from Scratch - 12 May, with Stephanie Wambua

  2. CV & Cover Letter Mastery - with the TuConnect team

  3. LinkedIn Optimisation for Visibility - with Stephanie and the TuConnect team

  4. Interview Skills & Confidence Building - with a guest HR professional

  5. Career Positioning & Industry Navigation - with Stephanie and an industry guest

  6. From Application to Offer — the full end-to-end strategy

Each session runs 60 to 90 minutes on weekday evenings - 45 minutes of content and 30 minutes of live Q&A. Every ticket includes the recording and a downloadable workbook, so nothing you pay for disappears the moment the call ends.

What Happens on 12 May

Session one is where the series earns its name. Building Your Personal Brand from Scratch, hosted by Stephanie, is a working session — not a motivational one. By the time you log off, you'll have clarity on four things most young professionals never stop to define.

What makes you different from every other candidate with a similar degree. Who you're actually trying to reach your ideal employer, your ideal industry, your ideal role. The professional story only you can tell, and how to tell it without sounding rehearsed and how to show up consistently, so that when the right opportunity appears, you're already top of mind.

This matters because in a market where thousands of candidates look the same on paper, the one who gets hired isn't always the most qualified. It's the one who's most clearly understood.

What's at Stake If You Sit This One Out

Another year of sending applications into silence. Another stretch of second-guessing whether you picked the right course, the right internship, the right city. Another round of watching peers with half your talent get noticed because they figured out how to tell their story first.

The workplace has changed. Recruiters don't have time to dig for your potential — they need it served clearly, confidently, and in a language they already speak. You can either keep hoping someone finally spots you, or you can learn how to make yourself impossible to miss.

What the Other Side Looks Like

Picture this. Six months from now, you have a CV that actually gets replies. A LinkedIn profile that attracts recruiters instead of collecting dust. You walk into interviews prepared, not panicked. When someone asks what you do, you have a clear answer — one that doesn't start with "um." And the next time you apply for a role, you're not just one of three hundred faces. You're a name they remember.

That's the transformation this series is built to deliver. Not overnight. Not with hype. Just with the right plan, the right guide, and the discipline to do the work.

Your Next Step

A single session is KES 1,500. Group tickets for five attendees are KES 6,000 — a saving of KES 1,500 against five singles, which makes it an easy one to bring a friend, a sibling, or a classmate to. Early bird pricing closes one week before the session goes live, so don't leave it to the last day.

The workplace has changed. This is your chance to change with it on your terms, with the right people in your corner.

See you on 12 May.
